Pengaruh Model Discovery Learning Terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa Kelas X Materi Teori Atom di SMA Negeri 2 Palembang

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of applying the discovery learning model on students science process skills in atomic theory material, more precisely the sub-material of the development of atomic models and atomic constituent particles. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Palembang in the 2024/2025 odd semester academic year using an experimental method in the form of a Quasi Experiment with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of 70 students taken randomly, namely 35 students each for class X.1 as the experimental group and class X.3 as the control group. The research instruments included the KPS test ppre-test and post-test), and observation sheets. The results of data analysis using the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0,00<0,05, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This study proves that the discovery learning model has a significant effect on students science process skills in atomic material.
